Saturday, April 27th, at 11:00 am 3086 Cambie Street, Vancouver RSVP Joanne at:604-877-8684 Utensils: Saladmaster machine, 1 quart saucepan w/ cover, Electric Oil Core Skillet To make applesauce: 4 apples, cored 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon Process apples using No. 2 cone, skin side toward cone. In saucepan over medium heat, combine apples and cinnamon. Cover, cook until Vapo-Valve clicks, reduce heat to low and cook 15 to 20 minutes. Set aside. Preheat electric skillet to 375F, Arrange six 1/2-inch-thick pork chops in single layer in hot skillet, cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Turn and brown other side, 4-5 Minutes. Top each chop with 1/4 cup applesauce. Cover; cook until Vapo-Valve clicks, reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes. Remove chops and scrape applesauce into skillet; keep warm. Slowly stir in 1-2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 1 tablespoon cold water; cook and stir until thickened. Spoon hot sauce over chops. 6 servings |
